Personal Life
Shantanu was brought up in Kolkata, where he attended St. Joseph's College. He moved to Mumbai for his higher studies. He attended HR College in Mumbai and he is a part of Street Soul Dance Crew [SSDC] from his College, and specializes mainly in Popping and (Liquid) Waving. Furthermore, he has trained in various dance forms from folk to hip hop.

He is the most popular character of the show. The lovable Boy-Next-Door and the Lover Boy. Swayam is in love with Sharon and friends with Bharat and Amar. He is the best friend of Kriya and Rey. He is a very good dancer and a charming person, which attracts Sharon to him later.

SSDC WAS FORMED BY RUEL & NIMIT. SSDC biggest win has been at Channel V's IndiaFest '11, india's biggest and toughest college festival, SSDC won both dance events in first place - street dance and solo impromptu.
Shantanu though has trained in various forms of dance from folk to hip hop, he is a very sick Popper. He is one of the permanent member of SSDC.
